How to Use Clubhouse to Promote Your Brand

What is Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is a new type of social network based on voice and audio where people around the world come together to talk, listen and learn from each other in real-time. You can participate in conversations set up by members with specific topics, or you can simply listen in on the conversation.

How Can I Access Clubhouse Platform?

You can access Clubhouse via desktop or the Clubhouse app with an invite sent to you from a friend. As of this time, you can only become a member with an invite. Once you have an invite, you can create an account online and start generating and building a network on Clubhouse with others who have similar interests to your own.

Many of the members who develop topics and workshops come from various backgrounds and influencer bases and are knowledgeable about the subject they are speaking on. If you join a chat, you may be allowed to participate. Think of Clubhouse as an audio-chat social network similar to a live video or webinar but without using video.

Clubhouse Audio Only Networking

When you sign up for Clubhouse, members can have a profile picture and a text bio. No other forms of text, image, or video content can be posted on the platform. You can create your Clubhouse rooms and times where

you host workshops or talks. When you host a workshop or discussion, you can educate attendees on specific topics and pitch your brand at the end of your workshop.

Where can I get the Clubhouse app?

Clubhouse is currently only available on iOS for iPhone and iPad users. You can download the app in the app store on Apple.

How Can I Find Topics on Clubhouse?

Picture
When you get access with your membership, the app offers a page full of conversational topics to follow, from sports to tech to world affairs to faith to "hustle" and almost every topic you can think about. In each workshop or conversation, you'll find people with similar interests that you can network and chat with inside of Clubhouse. When you find someone whom you would like to network with further, follow them on
Clubhouse, and you'll get to see what they have going on in their social feed. The more topics and people you follow, the more likely you will get suggestions for a room that fits the vertical and issues you are looking for on Clubhouse.

One element to note about conversations on Clubhouse - they are not recorded or permanent. All discussions, workshops, and topics are live, and once a room is closed, you can't receive a replay of a conversation on Clubhouse. You also cannot post pre-recorded audio recordings.

Is Clubhouse a Podcast?

Although you can interact with others in conversations, Clubhouse is not a podcast. Podcasts are recorded and published audio material, and since these conversations aren't recorded or published, Clubhouse isn't considered a podcast. Clubhouse is similar to a live podcast in that the platform is interactive. You can listen in and also raise a hand and can talk and join the group conversion yourself; however, Clubhouse isn't a podcasting platform.
Frustrated with social media and not sure how to post your brand online? Looking to connect with social media influencers in your vertical or niche? Have you wanted to start a podcast to promote your company but aren’t sure where to start?
